Service digitisation and a shift towards remote working fuels excellent growth across UK market for leading cyber security provider
Cyber security specialist, Reliance acsn, has recorded a 36 per cent increase in revenues in 2021, as businesses look to insulate themselves against new security threats posed by remote working and the introduction of new digital platforms to match refreshed business operations.
Driven by a philosophy of forging strong customer partnerships and an in-depth understanding of the commercial risks facing companies, Reliance acsn has added an impressive range of FTSE 250 clients to its portfolio over the last year.
As highlighted in recent Weekly Threat Reports from the National Cyber Security Centre, unsecured servers and cloud services have provided criminals with an increased attack surface, whilst phishing scams have grown significantly during the pandemic, with more scams in the last year than in the previous three years combined.
In the wake of the pandemic, cybercriminal activity has escalated as attackers look to capitalise on commercial vulnerabilities linked to remote workforces and the rapidly accelerated digital transformation of businesses. Research has predicted that cybercrime costs will reach over £9 trillion by 2025, highlighting the rising threat level to organisations across the globe.
The increased threat level has driven interest across Reliance acsn’s suite of services, in particular its Managed Detect and Response service.
Martin Sutherland, CEO of Reliance acsn said:
“Demand for cyber security services has shifted significantly over the last 12 months. In the immediate aftermath of the pandemic, companies largely focused on setting up their remote working policies and on digital transformation, meaning that their IT security needs have had to adapt rapidly.
“We have also seen an increase in high-profile cyber security breaches, with ransomware in particular causing significant concern at the board level,” he said.
Martin added that whilst demand across the sector has increased, Reliance acsn has performed well above industry growth rates due to its bespoke client support model.
“We put our customers at the heart of our business. Each of our customers has their own unique set of cyber security challenges and so we tailor our approach specifically to meeting their needs. Our customers tell us that our security specialists feel part of their in-house team, which has been instrumental to our success,” he said.
