Our Managed Detection & Response service delivers the constant vigilance and immediate action you need to help protect your business around the clock.
Defence is a combination of intelligence, vigilance, and decisive action powered by the right technologies. Together they form a strong defence around your business, allowing you to get on with what you do best.
Our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service runs from two Security Operations Centres (SOC) based within the UK, created to serve the specific needs of your organisation
24/7 – 365 days a year.
What is MDR and how does it work?
We continuously look for both signs of compromise and suspicious behaviour within your organisation, from applications and systems to human behaviours, across both on-premise and cloud-based environments. Our Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) tooling collects the log and event data generated by your applications, security devices, and host systems, and brings it together so it can be analysed by our team of analysts.
When signs of compromise or suspicious behaviours are detected, they’re investigated, and when threats are identified they are countered as appropriate, following pre-agreed procedures to ensure we protect your organisation, but don’t stop critical processes if it’s not necessary to do so.
Crucially, it’s flexible enough to scale as your business grows, flex as it changes, and makes the most of your existing investment in both digital technologies and applications. The most important word in MDR is ‘managed’ – WE manage detection and respond proactively.
It’s a people led approach
Yes, we use automation to ensure we cover all aspects of your organisation, but we overlay what the tooling is seeing with human eyes to add context, experience, and logic to ensure we are making the right decisions for your organisations. To add to this, your contact with us is direct to analyst. In fact, unlike most cybersecurity companies, we encourage you to forge close relationships with the actual analysts running your SOC; after all, they deliver the MDR that protects you. When you need information or advice, you will never be patched through to a scripted call centre or referred to an Account Manager.
Our aim is to remove the worry of securing your environment by leaving it to us, the experts in cyber security, allowing you to focus on your organisation and what you are experts in.
Home Secretary Priti Patel outlined the U.K. Government’s position on ransomware payments: ‘Paying a ransom in response to a ransomware [attack] does not guarantee a successful outcome, it will not protect a network from future attacks, nor will it prevent the possibility of future data leaks. In fact, paying a ransom is likely to encourage criminality to continue with this approach.’
It has been an important week for Cyber Security in the United States with several key announcements from President Biden and his administration on funding and appointments as well as a response to the Solar Winds attack.
